Towards the end of 2008 the management of the discount bank Norisbank contacted Studio & Partners with a precise task, to redesign the norisbank branch concept at a 40% reduced budget and at the same moment improve the service experience and customer journey.

Starting point was the redesign of the workplace/consulting position by improving the previously poor privacy situation. With the help of an innovative acoustic solution, the perceived intimacy for the customer was dramatically improved. This in turn enabled a denser positioning of the consulting positions and an more efficient arrangement of the ATM’s allowed a substantial space saving. 


The separation between ATM zone and branch was achieved by use of a roll gated that features a Norisbank logo as well as opening the curtains during the night exposing the red and orange colour coded interior of the branch.
