Having won an international competition in 1990 to design this major bank's branches, Studio & Partners was asked to develop the concept for its new generation of "service centres". The layout, product communication and staffing philosophy for this new centres all break new ground within the industry.

The overall design is divided into two distinct system kits: one establishing the infrastructure and environmental qualities, and a second kit defining a range of free-standing furniture . The limited height of this furniture makes it completely independent of any ceiling designs or feautures. Traditional work areas and counters are eliminated in favour of enhanced self-service facilities and circulating, uniformed staff who interact directly with customers.
